Driving Community Development and Fair Trade

Looking back at the journey from its establishment on December 30, 2016, to reaching a scale of 445 households, the Ben Tre Green Skin Pomelo Cooperative has proven the robust vitality of the new collective economic model.

Collective Power and Sustainable Livelihoods

Our core mission is to provide input services at competitive prices, secure stable market outputs, and reinvest profits to improve local community livelihoods. By harnessing the "Power of people, power of volume," the Cooperative achieves superior negotiating leverage in international markets while strictly adhering to a synchronized and disciplined GlobalGAP production process, moving beyond small-scale fragmented cultivation.

Creating Inclusive Value

The Cooperative is a vital catalyst for sustainable rural development. We prioritize job creation for women and vulnerable groups, fostering a safe working environment with incomes that comfortably exceed the national living standard. We heavily emphasize generational continuity, ensuring that the children of our members are empowered to work and build their careers in their hometowns.

ESG Commitments and Fair Trade

Environmental responsibility is paramount, demonstrated through stringent waste segregation, the use of renewable energy, and wastewater recycling systems. Farmers collaborate closely with IFAD projects to safely process hazardous agricultural waste at the Holcim cement plant, strictly eliminating unregulated open burning. By partnering with the Cooperative, international buyers are not merely executing commercial transactions; they are actively engaging in a fair trade value chain that directly contributes to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
