In late November 2020, the Ben Tre Green Skin Pomelo Cooperative successfully showcased its premium fruit brand, "Pink Pomelo Girl" (Cô Gái Bưởi Hồng), at the annual Regional Specialties Fair held in the capital city of Hanoi. Demonstrating exceptional market demand, the cooperative’s entire inventory of visually flawless, firm, and high-Brix green skin pomelos was completely sold out within the four-day event, drawing substantial interest from both premium consumers and institutional buyers.

On November 18, a high-level assessment workshop dedicated to evaluating the "New-Style Cooperative Development Project" was convened in Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm City. Jointly organized by the Vietnam Cooperative Enterprise Development (VCED) project and the Development Section of the Embassy of Canada, the forum brought together key stakeholders to analyze the economic impacts and value-chain enhancements achieved across five strategic provinces: Ninh Thuận, Bình Thuận, Lâm Đồng, Bến Tre, and Sóc Trăng.

The Ben Tre Green Skin Pomelo Cooperative has achieved a landmark commercial breakthrough by securing direct export contracts with premium buyers in Canada and Singapore, eliminating intermediary brokers. Marked by a successful 5-ton shipment of fresh green skin pomelos (BDX) to the Canadian retail market, this milestone validates the cooperative’s international compliance, strategic branding, and scalable supply chain infrastructure.

In a significant paradigm shift for Vietnam’s citrus sector, the Ben Tre Green Skin Pomelo Cooperative has successfully bypassed traditional intermediaries to secure direct export contracts with premium retailers in Canada and Singapore. Backed by the Canada-funded VCED project, the cooperative has integrated smallholder farms into a unified, high-capacity commercial entity, establishing a resilient B2B agricultural supply chain capable of meeting rigorous global phytosanitary standards.

In the afternoon of June 4, 2019, at An Hiep Commune People's Committee, Chau Thanh District, the Ben Tre Green Pomelo Cooperative Development Project (VCED) in collaboration with Ben Tre Green Pomelo Agricultural Cooperative and the Division of Natural Resources and Environment of Chau Thanh district co-organized the seminar "Awareness raising and environmental protection action in green skin pomelo production and reporting on results of the project using biological / organic factors".

On March 21, 2019, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a Workshop on preliminary review of Ben Tre Green Pomelo Cooperative Project (VCED Project) in 2018 and implemented the operation plan in 2019. - 2020. At the Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition - FoodExpo Vietnam 2019 (November 13-16), Cooperatives (Cooperatives) of Ben Tre Green Pomelo, Thanh Binh Dragon Cooperative (Binh Thuan) and Grape Cooperative Evergreen (Ninh Thuan) displays fresh and safe fruits that meet VIETGAP standards as well as processed products such as dried fruits, juices, fermented grape juice ...
